My 82-year-old mother, C, was brought into the emergency room after a fall, which resulted in staples in the back of her head. Both Logan and Courtney made what was a stressful time a much more pleasant one for myself and my mother. My mother‘s physical health has declined recently, and they were so attentive to her needs and assisted her with such dignity and grace. They took their time and helped her undress as well as get to the commode without any fuss. These young, precious nurses treated my mother like she was their own grandmother. My mom  wanted to make sure that their kindness didn’t go unnoticed. We live in a time where everything is rushed, and often kindness falls to the wayside, but not in this case.

Another member of the ER team was Nana. She cared for my 82-year-old mother once she was treated in the Emergency Room. She remained in the emergency department because a bed wasn’t yet available. Nana was very attentive to my mom’s needs. My mom required assistance to get to the commode, and Nana was patient, compassionate, and so respectful. She made what could’ve been an embarrassing situation a comfortable one. Each time my mom called for her, she quickly came to the room. While I’m sure she had a full patient load, she had the gift of making my mom feel like she was her only one. Nana is an asset to OLOL, and I’m thankful my mom was her patient.
