Even when it was time to remove the IV she once again showed my daughter the process using her bear and that made my daughter so calm she didn’t even flinch. According to my daughter, Mallary “took it out with love.”
Mallary was beyond amazing in the emergency room. My seven-year-old daughter ended up in the emergency room on one of the busiest nights I have ever seen there at the hospital. Her nurse Mallary was attentive and so calming.
The ER was hectic that night, but thanks to this amazing nurse, you would never know! She kept the door just cracked open, the lights turned down and was quiet and relaxed every time she entered the room.
My daughter was nervous about getting an IV, so her nurse made the quick decision to show her how the IV process would go using the beanie baby bear my daughter had with her. Let me tell you, that was a Game Changer!

I cannot thank Mallary enough for the care and compassion she showed my child. We are no strangers to the hospital, my spouse and I both work for OMC, and my family has had to visit the ER on more than one occasion, and Mallary was by far the most amazing nurse we have ever met.
You can really tell just how much she loves her patients and what she does. Thank you!
