My dear friend was at Ascension Via Christi to get her gallbladder removed. Unfortunately, after her surgery, she developed a hernia and was in quite a bit of pain. Kody was her nurse and advocated for T like I have never seen. Kody prioritized the health of the patient over everything. He insisted that the surgeon on call take a second look at T’s incision. That's when a CT scan was ordered for her, and they discovered a hernia. Because of Kody’s advocacy, knowledge, and tenacity, my friend was able to get surgery very soon. I firmly believe that Kody, quite possibly, saved my friend’s life. When T’s family and I offered Kody our gratitude, he very graciously said that surgeons get busy, so the nurses just help out. Kody was not only remarkable at his job, but he was also very humble about it.

Very competent and knowledgeable. He was pleasant and always upbeat. Very nice young man. Kody takes his job very seriously.

Kody has to be one of the hospital's best nurses. He has compassion for people; he tries to answer every question. He is just an all-around outstanding nurse.
