I was a patient at the 6th floor GI department there for a lower GI camera study. I really had no idea what to expect and I was very nervous. Plus, I am hard of hearing and this makes things very difficult for me. My wife passed away and I have no one to come with me. I was called to go back and met Ms. Monica Fisher-Combs. I told her that I didn't hear well and that I was really nervous about this procedure that I knew nothing about. She was so nice and instantly gained my trust. She is the first one who made sure that I could hear her. Her calm, caring, and gentle voice made me feel so at ease! She explained everything so clearly and took all of my anxieties away. She was so caring and respectful and went to great lengths to make sure that I knew everything that was going to happen, checked to make sure that I understood everything. I can't tell you enough of how appreciative I am of her. She made a difficult situation for me very easy. She went above and beyond what she needed to do. I am so very grateful to her and I hope she gets the recognition that she deserves. Thank you, Ms. Monica, for making me feel so calm and understood. You went out of your way to make sure that I could hear you, to make sure that I could understand every single detail as to what was happening and what I needed to do. You made me feel very special. I am grateful for your kindness and understanding. I know it's not easy to work with someone who doesn't hear very well, but you really went above and beyond to make me feel special. Words could never express my gratitude enough! Thank you for caring.
