My mom is starting to have some Dementia. It was scary for her and just the unknown, but Yunia always would be so calming to her.
We were at the hospital for about 2 weeks. My 81-year-old mom was suffering with a bladder infection and kidney stones. Before we arrived at the ER at the Marshfield Medical Center, my mom visited the ER in another town twice in that same week. They just stated she was severely constipated, but when we arrived at the Marshfield Medical Center, they found differently. She had a bad bladder infection and kidney stone. Before we arrived at the ER, mom fell. She probably fell because she was just not feeling well. Yunia was with us a couple of nights in a row, and she was like a breath of heaven. She was always attentive to mom, so calming, and just wonderful for me and mom. My mom is starting to have some Dementia. It was scary for her and just the unknown, but Yunia always would be so calming to her. She would work the night shift so a perfect time for her to be on board as most elderly patients don't do well at night. One night her iv-port closed and Yunia came into the room and tried to flush out the port and it wouldn't work. She was going to move it to a new place and mom doesn't t like needles. Yunia made it so calming. She just started talking to mom and before you know it, it was already in, and it was all good. Whenever I had questions or concerns, she was always there with her knowledge and reassuring me that things would be okay. I always look forward to seeing her and it was sad to say goodbye. She is a true Gem to your facility and deserves praise for her caring kind compassion.
