Our 22-year-old daughter was involved in a motor vehicle accident and was flown to MercyOne. Despite the work of the trauma team, she did not survive her injuries. As you could imagine, the family was shattered with several of the family members becoming very upset and demanding. Mark walked into the room and instantly the energy shifted, he was so kind and understanding when talking about next steps and deescalated the situation expertly. He was patient and kind and sat with us as long as we needed him to. Words cannot express how much we appreciate what Mark and the entire Trauma Team did in their efforts to save our girl. I genuinely appreciate him and his expertise and am so happy he was our nurse that awful morning.
