She obtained supplies and taught him how to care for the skin, which healed perfectly, and he has never had another issue.
I am nominating Jennifer Chamberlain due to her exceptional overall nursing practice, who made a special connection with my husband and positively affected his care. He was diagnosed with stage IV esophageal cancer and was unable to eat due to the tumor and needed a G-tube for nutritional support. He developed a wound issue surrounding the tube, which caused discomfort, and due to the setback, he was ready to stop chemotherapy treatment. The doctor contacted Jennifer, who came over to her office immediately. She immediately assessed the situation and completely reassured my husband she could take care of it and would be healed quickly. She obtained supplies and taught him how to care for the skin, which healed perfectly, and he has never had another issue. He personally took care of the tube based on her excellent instructions and she told us to contact her if we needed any additional supplies.

I am an Oncology Nurse Practitioner and saw what a difference Jennifer made in my husband's cancer journey. He is now enrolled in Hosparus Care and his tube is still working well.

Jennifer Chamberlain deserves this award as I witnessed her to have met all of the criteria listed for honor and is an excellent representative for UofL Health Nursing!

Note: This is Jennifer's 2nd DAISY Award!
