My mom and I mutually decided to nominate Candy Ugale. My mom is currently still in the hospital. My mom came in because she has been retaining a lot of water. During her stay, Candy has been super sweet with her. Mom told me that Candy makes her feel like the shift truly cares about her, not only as a patient but as a person. She has taken the time to listen to my mom, asking her how she feels most comfortable when taking her meds when she's in bed and has shown a lot of compassion when mom has been concerned about her condition. When Candy has been around, she has also taken the time to listen to me about the challenges I face living out of state while also trying to care for my mom. My mom doesn't trust very easily, but Candy won her over really quickly. She has kept her positive and roots for her every chance she gets. Candy is exceptional! I trust her completely with my precious mother's care. Thank you! I wish all nurses were like you! I want to hug you for making my mom comfortable during a very scary time.
