With 12 years of dedicated service at Baldwin Park Medical Center, Mia has been instrumental in numerous initiatives to improve patient care and experience. From addressing heart failure to reducing hospital-acquired infections and co-leading remote cardiac monitoring projects, Mia's contributions have been invaluable to our unit's success.
Despite the demands of her role, Mia recently enthusiastically accepted the challenge of spearheading the wellness and engagement council to promote health and wellness among nurses. Collaborating with labor leaders, she assembled a dedicated team and developed a comprehensive plan that significantly increased participation in wellness initiatives, leading to the highest participation rates in our nursing units' people pulse survey.
