I gave birth to my second child after 15 years, and I also have some health issues that I will be facing after pregnancy that are extremely difficult to deal with. I was instructed by my doctor to come in on Thursday for induction and I gave birth the next day at 6:46pm. It was hard, but I had a safe delivery. I was transferred to the 5th floor after delivery, and that's when I met Nurse Amanda Chu the next morning. I have never met someone so caring, genuine, and dedicated not just to her duties but to her patients. She made me feel special and went above and beyond every day without making me feel like I was just another number. Whenever I needed her, she was right outside my room, which was extremely hot and uncomfortable, by the way. She made it her personal task to find me another room just to make my stay comfortable until I got discharged. She comforted me when I got emotional and reminded me of my purpose, which was to take care of myself and that everything would be ok. She referred me to so many options that were available to me from the lactation class. Words cannot be used to describe my experience with Nurse Amanda, but I know that I would want to be around someone like her that I will trust with my life. My family and I truly appreciate you, Nurse Amanda, and we want to thank you once again for making our life-changing experience so much more meaningful.
