Kim has very strong critical thinking skills and applies them to my care and well-being through my treatments.
My journey began when I was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. TNBC. I had a lumpectomy followed by the 1st of 16 Chemotherapy treatments4. Throughout the 1st part of my journey, I had fabulous care with amazing staff, but it was Kimberly "Kim" who stood out.

Her attention to detail was evident with my very first Chemotherapy treatment. Kim has a knack for being detail-oriented, from the basic nursing skills of making sure she had the correct medication at the correct time for me to navigate through my Chemotherapy medications, all while remaining in communication with my pharmacist and oncologist.

Kim has very strong critical thinking skills and applies them to my care and well-being through my treatments. She is able to take small pieces of information that may seem unrelated (vital signs and medications) and come to the correct conclusion regarding my care. The most important characteristic that Kim displays is empathy for her patients.

On several occasions, Kim was there with a kind word, counseling through my grief, and always a hug. Sometimes, it's just the most simple form of caring that turns out to be the best medicine. Kimberly is an extraordinary person and clinician. She is highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable. Kim is a compassionate team player (always helping her coworkers) who consistently displays and promotes the highest ethical standards. She effectively demonstrates the true meaning of a DAISY Honoree.
