My dad was very poor in weight, so she noticed the slight difference and was very hands-on in getting him help and fighting for him - acting as his voice.
“My father is a cancer patient, but not one on his last leg. He came in because he was aspirating on his blood. He had to get a PEG done due to his sphinx being damaged during radiation. Summer Owens fought hard to get doctors to notice after his failed PEG surgery that his stomach was full of blood. My dad was very poor in weight, so she noticed the slight difference and was very hands-on in getting him help and fighting for him - acting as his voice. Summer is very detailed in explaining processes and keeping the family comfortable, but especially the patient. My dad loves and adores Summer very much. He trusts her completely. She is very well-mannered. She has shown us how amazing people are and how important a nurse is. Seemingly more so can be more important than doctors. We as a family unit cannot show the level of gratitude for her. She gave my dad hope. I believe that’s the key for patients. Summer has been selfless and diligent in making sure my dad survived this. I’ve never seen someone so selfless! That, I can never say thank you enough.
