Lisa was my daughter's RN in the pre-procedure unit within WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. My daughter L is 15 months old and had the first procedure. L was struggling preoperative due to being tired, hungry, and thirsty and could not have anything due to the procedure. For an hour and a half, we needed to wait for her to be taken back, and she was very irritable. Lisa took her up and down the hall and had her visit with other nurses.

Another nurse sang and danced for her. They both made the preoperative time so much more tolerable. L enjoyed being the center of attention and meeting all of the nurses and entertained all morning. Lisa also gave L a WellSpan lion, which was her comfort stuffy throughout her surgery time and after. I appreciate all of her support and understanding with L in her pre-op stay. Lisa and her team are great nurses and are amazing at their job. We really appreciate her and what nurses like her do on a daily basis for their patients.
