Recently, Maria demonstrated exceptional kindness and empathy when she learned that a fellow co-worker’s husband had seriously fallen ill. The co-worker learned the news of the husband’s condition while at work and needed to leave early to attend to the husband’s situation. But the co-worker was extremely affected and distraught with the news. Upon learning and seeing the co-worker’s situation, Maria immediately sprang into action, offering unwavering support and comfort during this difficult time. With a heartfelt approach, Maria, who is from Carmichael, offered at the end of her 10-hour shift to safely drive the co-worker from KP South Sacramento Hospital to KP Vacaville Hospital, where the husband was taken for care. She then drove back 45 miles to her Carmichael home from Vacaville after dropping her co-worker at the Vacaville facility.

Maria’s dedication to supporting her colleague did not go unnoticed. She went above and beyond her duties to ensure that her co-worker felt supported and cared for during this trying time. She demonstrated her commitment to the safety and well-being of her co-worker by not letting her drive in that emotional state.

Furthermore, Maria displayed remarkable professionalism and empathy throughout this ordeal. She handled the situation with grace and sensitivity, creating a supportive environment where her co-worker felt valued and respected. In times of adversity, Maria has proven herself to be a beacon of light, embodying the true spirit of compassion and camaraderie.
