She truly is the sweetest, most caring, compassionate nurse.
Lori's clinical skills and especially her compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. I originally came in three short stay to have an interventional radiology scan done. I was very anxious about the idea of having to get stabbed in the back with a needle to inject a bunch of dye, and she reassured me the entire time that it’d be over quickly, and we’ll get you out of there. Unfortunately, I got out of my myelogram and back to my recovery room. I went into a significant amount of pain. She sat there the entire time she held my hand she brushed my hair from my face, and did everything for me. The doctor had originally prescribed oral medication, but unfortunately, due to it making me sick, I couldn’t do that, so she immediately got an IV in me. Got medication in me and checked on me every 15 minutes. I have never in my entire life had an experience with a nurse this phenomenal. She truly is the sweetest, most caring, compassionate nurse. With this, a neurosurgeon was called in, as well as the hospitalist, because my pain could not get under control, and I needed to be admitted. She made sure that both doctors who were rendering my care were on the same page. She kept calling the nurse on the floor of where I was supposed to go because they hadn’t come and got me, and I was in that limbo for medications. This woman is absolutely amazing. She truly deserves this so or more than anyone I’ve ever met. I had the most outstanding experience this hospital admission versus the last two times I was here. I considered never coming back to Community. I just needed everyone to know of her phenomenal, amazing, loving, caring, compassionate, skills
