What truly sets her apart is her unwavering integrity in every action and interaction. She embodies honesty, trustworthiness, and transparency, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
I am thrilled to nominate a remarkable nurse leader, for the prestigious DAISY Nurse Leader Award. Let me paint a vivid picture of how this extraordinary nurse leader, a nominee for the prestigious Award, exemplifies the I CARE values in her daily practice:

Our nominee shines as a beacon of compassion and exemplary practice, setting the standard for collaborative teamwork and knowledge sharing. She doesn't just lead; she inspires others to be their best selves. As a true collaborator, she proactively shares her expertise with the team, creating an environment where best practices are not only encouraged but celebrated.

What truly sets her apart is her unwavering integrity in every action and interaction. She embodies honesty, trustworthiness, and transparency, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Their heartfelt expressions of gratitude speak volumes. One staff member shared, "I am thankful that you are approachable and flexible when we have a crisis or issue in our personal lives. It means a lot to know that we can come to you and get assistance when those tough times roll around."

Another expressed their deepest gratitude, saying, "Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to become part of this family. I can confidently say now that I feel a sense of place and belonging." It's clear that she creates a supportive and nurturing environment where all staff members feel valued and appreciated.

Our nominee cultivates an environment where trust, compassion, and mutual respect flourish. Her commitment to professional development is unmatched. Under her guidance, four RNs achieved national nursing certification, a testament to her dedication to the growth and success of her team. Additionally, her mentorship extends beyond clinical skills, as she has mentored three new nurse managers and serves as a go-to resource for institutional knowledge. Peers often seek out for advice and guidance, highlighting her invaluable contribution to the growth and development of her colleagues. Her involvement in a successful and highly active Unit-Based Council (UBC) demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration.

Moreover, our nominee is a true advocate for nursing excellence. As the President-elect for the Dallas ANAC chapter, she champions healthcare equity and advocates for underserved populations. Her past service as the Parkland representative on the Ryan White Planning Council and as a board member for the AIDS Interfaith Network highlights her unwavering dedication to promoting health, dignity, and voice for all individuals, particularly those affected by HIV/AIDS.

The nominee exemplifies the values of the DAISY Nurse Leader Award through her compassionate leadership, collaborative approach, and dedication to advancing patient care and the nursing profession. Her exemplary contributions make her a deserving candidate for this prestigious recognition.
