I love Sydney!  She is so kind and loving.  When I came to the Peds floor, I couldn’t lift my own head or reposition my own body.  She shared her story of brain surgery. She shared her feelings of fear, pain, and ultimately overcoming all the hurdles before her.  She shared how she coped with pain and frustration when her body didn’t work the way she wanted it to.  

Her tip on visualization with waves to help not focus on pain really helped me.  I felt afraid when my body couldn’t move the way I wanted to.  She would listen to me and encourage me.  Her listening to my fears and concerns and coaching me through it all helped so much.  

God has uniquely prepared Sydney to help others in their darkest hour.  She truly understands in ways no one else knows of how to help someone with brain surgery. I am so thankful for her patience, kindness, goodness, joyful heart and openness to share.  We wish we could award her not only 1 flower but a million.  She caught us when we felt like we were falling.  Sydney is such an asset to Sanford and others!
