Rhonda is an extra special person. During a very unprecedented tragic event within maternity services Rhonda was the manager on call. Not only did Rhonda coordinate the events unfolding in a very highly emotive situation with family and staff, but Rhonda continued to provide a duty of candor to the family and staff. Rhonda continued to check in on each individual staff member. Arranged 1-1 debriefs, which sometimes included just listening, hugging, and crying, but that was all that was needed. Rhonda also initiated team debriefs and ongoing support for the team.

Rhonda went above and beyond her “Job role.” She is the most heartwarming, supportive, and caring member of the team, and without her continued (and continuing) support, the outlook could be different. Rhonda was a rock in a very hard place for many staff. I speak on behalf of maternity services, we are extremely grateful for Rhonda and appreciate what an amazing team leader/person should be.
