I got floated to med surg from my home unit of PCCU. I worked with Liz, and she was so amazing. She went out of her way to help me. This was during the ransomware attack when we were on all paper charting and orders. She helped to organize my charts and pull my meds for me when the Pyxis wouldn't allow me to be added. She introduced me to everyone on the unit and all of the doctors and made me feel like her unit was home for me for the day. She gave me a tour of the unit and helped me find stuff in the supply room when I needed help. She was so kind and cheerful with all of the staff and the patients. She answered call lights even if they weren't her patients, and she knew all of their names. She went above and beyond for patients, staff members, and even doctors who needed something.

One of my patients started to show signs of cardiac issues, and she helped me to get the EKG emailed to the cardiologist. The patient ended up needing a heart cath, and if it weren't for Liz helping me to get that EKG sent right away, I don't want to think about what would have happened. There is always a smile on her face, and her infectious laugh can be heard all around. She is an outstanding nurse and always helps anyone who needs it. If anything ever happens to me or one of my family members, I pray that she's the nurse who takes care of us. She is knowledgeable and compassionate, and all-around amazing!
