Arlene consistently demonstrates exceptional initiative and dedication to her as a nurse. Back in February, she went above and beyond by organizing a surprise birthday celebration for a 95-year-old of hers, bringing him a cake and arranging a party. Once during a nighttime admission, Arlene took the initiative to scan documents for a patient who was not under her care. Furthermore, she consistently takes the time to educate her patients and provide some educational materials. One of her patients, who had a clot in his leg that Arlene detected, credited her for saving his life through her excellent care. When working as a PCT, she goes above and beyond by stocking up the entire unit and assisting other nurses with various tasks, ensuring the safety and well-being of all her patients. During codes, she is always helpful and prompt, constantly checking in with nurses to see how they are doing.

Arlene actively encourages patients to strive for improvement and ensure that they are actively engaged in their care. Arlene also takes the time to celebrate and appreciate her fellow staff members. Her exceptional qualities and commitment to patient care makes her a true DAISY nurse!
