I am approaching four years of fighting my cancer. I have AML leukemia. I have been in some real life-threatening and painful situations. The nursing staff, as a whole, are the most amazing, caring, and understanding people I have ever met. I feel like everyone has treated me like I was a family member. I consider them as part of my family. I trust them with my life, and they prove to me just how beautiful and giving they are time and time again. Way beyond the "call of duty". I mean this in the most sincere way possible.
I want to nominate Rosemary Vu. Rosey is the most caring individual taking care of me now. She always greets me with a smile, and she stays and listens to me as an individual, not as a patient. Consoles me when I am down and is always encouraging me to press on. She deals with my embarrassing mishaps with dignity. She also is constantly researching my questions and concerns. She has also always been a strong advocate for me, both with the doctors and other staff. Rosey is well deserving of recognition for her tireless commitment to me, her patient.
