I was being treated for pneumonia and a reaction to my medications. All the staff were doing an excellent job tending to various parts of me, and it made a world of difference when Sarah Gressler arrived for the night shift. She saw the whole picture of things that I didn’t even know were making me uncomfortable. She made everything so much clearer and easier. She helped me get good control of my breathing finally, walked with me, really listened to me, and gave me all I needed to get a good night’s sleep. When she arrived, she radiated concern, caring, and love. There is no greater gift when you are sick. She turned what was promising to be a bleak and uncomfortable night into a peaceful, comfortable, friendly and instructive journey. She explained how all the treatments fit together and how to get the best from each of them... and took the rest of my worries off my plate. She intuitively knew exactly what was needed. I cannot imagine a more gifted nurse. It was a joy to meet her. She absolutely sped my recovery and taught me valuable skills for the future.
