Decerie C Monteagudo, under the guidance of the Chief Nurse, AGH, and with the support of the ACN for the Admin and Personnel Branch, played a vital role in devising quarterly programs through the AGH Wellness Programs aimed at improving the well-being of staff in the workplace. Among the prominent initiatives they led were the "Mighty Fifty" (a 50-kilometer run) to encourage physical fitness and inspire regular exercise, "Sweat and Stretch" Zumba and Yoga Classes to foster physical activity and relaxation, and the "Break the Habit: Empowering Minds Against Alcohol and Smoking" program crafted to raise awareness regarding the health dangers linked to alcohol and smoking. During her tenure at various departments within the Army General Hospital, Cpl Monteagudo exhibited an outstanding attitude, leadership, and professionalism. Her positivity, resilience, and empathy significantly enhanced team dynamics. She earned several commendations, a military merit medal, and a bronze cross medal. Moreover, she actively engaged in community initiatives, as demonstrated by her considerable involvement in the response to Typhoon Ulysses in November 2020. She organized a comprehensive two-day relief effort alongside her colleagues, distributing essential supplies to 332 households.
