My daughter has been long gone from the NICU, however, I've been trying to find a way to give back to this particular nurse and others. I'm nominating LaQuandra because while my sweet baby girl was growing and gaining her strength to come home, LaQuandra took such great care of her and went the extra mile. Whenever I would call, she was so reassuring and helpful. She made sure to find an answer to any questions I had. What really touched my heart about LaQuandra is that she took the time out to form a relationship with my daughter, N. N would know when LaQuandra was there most times. It was like N knew that she was safe with her. Since N has been home, LaQuandra has kept in touch. She has been a part of her dedication to Christ and her 1st birthday. Baptist Anderson has a God-given gift of a nurse. She truly deserves the DAISY Award because she went above and beyond to make sure my sweet baby girl had a comfortable time in the NICU.
