Ashlee is new to her current role as director. The ICU/PCU team was apprehensive about having a new director lead our team. This leader has shined in her new role! She demonstrates trust across the units, allowing open dialogue and feedback. This leader rounds on the staff on both units quite frequently, and the staff greatly appreciates this. If this leader does not know a solution to a problem, she will find the solution one way or another. This leader advocates for her teams but also looks to her first team to support and advocate for them as well. Ashlee always takes time out of her day to listen to her staff and listen to other leaders. She follows up and always closes the loops. ICU/PCU is very proud to call her our Director of Nursing.

It’s all too often that our Directors and Managers go unnoticed in their efforts to support their staff. I find Ashlee meets all of the above requirements. She consciously makes efforts to address all staff members with respect and attentiveness. She is approachable and consistently demonstrates follow-up, and addresses any issues brought to her attention. What an awesome person and leader.
