Joel is just an amazing person. He comes in dancing, laughing, and making me forget my pain at the moment. He sits with me and tells me stories, he listens, makes sure I take my medicines and tells me the importance. He makes me feel like a true friend and family. He comes in singing, dancing, telling jokes, and he makes me want to dance and sing. He brings up my spirit by doing this. I feel like I’m not sick for that moment. He brings life to me and is a true angel. He goes way above and beyond and even though he’s a nurse, he goes truly above and beyond to bring up my spirit. He makes the rest of my family feel very comfortable knowing that he’s my nurse. My whole family loves him and he makes them laugh and worry-free. We really pray he gets picked for this award because he truly deserves it.
