The significant impact of Philippine Army COVID-19 response heavily relied on the responsive procurement and deployment of manpower when most of healthcare institutions are incapacitated due to inevitable mass resignation of nurses out of fear of the unknown disease process. The Philippine Army leadership tapped the Health Service, primarily the Office of the Army Chief Nurse to expedite recruitment, training and deployment of Special Enlist nurses that will help mitigate the effects of COVID-19 not only within Philippine Army major units but also nationwide.
