Hailey, it was a priority to make my wife, who suffered a stroke and was paralyzed on her left side, feel like life was just a little bit normal.
While having a busy day, caring for not only my wife but another patient who was in critical condition, Hailey found time to go above and beyond. Running around giving care to two patients and running behind on her charts, Hailey walked into our room to make my wife’s stay just a little bit better. Hailey asked if she could wash the dead skin off of my wife’s hands and clean her nails. As other staff walked by asking her what she was doing and asking if she had caught up on charting she simply replied “no.” They then began telling her that she needs to remember her priorities and to them it was charting, but to Hailey, it was making my wife, who suffered a stroke and was paralyzed on her left side, feel like life was just a little bit normal. Hailey stayed and finished giving, what to me, was a manicure. Hailey also finished her charting on time! Thank you, Hailey!
