My dad was admitted for a procedure. The procedure was successful, and he was subsequently put into the care of this RN in a particular unit. I can't describe in words how kind, gentle, compassionate and intelligent she was. As my dad was preparing for discharge, his condition took a turn. My daughter was sitting next to Dad, talking to him, kind of joking around like a nervous teen would. Unexpectedly, Dad's pulse dropped significantly. I had hoped my daughter didn't realize, but later, in private, she cried hysterically to me, "I saw the line go all the way across, flat, like on TV. Papa was so pale. I was so scared!" I saw the line that she was talking about and can only imagine how horrible it was for her to feel like he was passing away. Throughout Dad's change in condition, this nurse was on top of it! She knew immediately what to do, she remained calm, and was able to get the orders my dad needed to get his pulse stabilized.

She was amazing. I could hear her working with other patients, and she was amazing with them as well, explaining in great detail what to expect after discharge, what is normal, and what is not normal. You are so lucky to have her as a nurse at your hospital!! Thank you to this nurse!
