This trip to the hospital was very scary and stressful for a 19-year-old girl. Never in my life did I think I would be in the Heart hospital at such a young age. I’ve had lots of nice nurses in and out of my room taking care of me. There is one specific nurse that I would like to thank and dedicate and honor. Grant Martinson was my nurse the second day I was here, and he has been very nice, kind, funny, and just overall made this experience a lot less scary. His care, dedication, and compassion will not go unnoticed.

The day after my surgery, I was feeling extremely claustrophobic. Grant went out of his way to bring me outside. We talked about our dogs, made lots of jokes and had an overall good time sitting outside. I have been extremely thankful for a nurse like Grant. He has shown that he cares and thinks about all his patients. Grant has been respectful no matter what the situation was. I wanted to acknowledge how amazing and extraordinary of a nurse Grant has been towards me and my family. Truly, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You, Grant, for making this experience amazing and always letting me know that I would get through.
