I would like to nominate an outstanding Registered Nurse by the name of Leigh Parks, who works in the cardiology section on the third floor. As much responsibility and pressure as she had to deal with, she never failed to answer my calls. I’m eighty years old and suffer from anxiety and hypertension. I was suffering from a heart rate of 135 beats a minute and was to be shocked back into regular pace. She was so compassionate and caring in explaining in detail about my upcoming ablation of my heart. She was always a calming factor to me and was instrumental in helping me stay calm before the procedure. I cannot say enough about how good this RN is for patients like me. I am not very good with words, but TMH has a diamond on their staff. I sincerely hope that she gets this award because she deserves it every day she is at work. She is constantly performing these tasks not just a single episode she is the TOPS in this old man’s opinion. May God bless her!
