Sick as she was, when she saw him, she was so delighted and glad to see him. Richard has shown my mom nothing but care, respect, and love.
My mom was on this floor in April 2024, and Richard was one of her nurses. Richard made a big difference in my mom’s life. She fell in love with him. He treated her like she mattered to him and like he cared for her. We (her family) could feel that he was “genuine.” Unfortunately, we had to bring my mom back. Sick as she was, when she saw him, she was so delighted and glad to see him. Richard has shown my mom nothing but care, respect, and love. He’s at the right place because he has made an everlasting impression and is a friend to this family. He has compassion for the patients here. He’s this way with us, and I saw him in other rooms with patients, treating them the same way. “He’s real and he cares.”

Richard has made my family feel as if we are not alone at the time my mom is going through “comfort care.” He’s helping us to feel so much better about our mom. He looks at her and wipes her nose (it was running). I know that’s not much, but it means a lot to us. He’s showing that he cares. This is a hard, hard time for my family. Last night, we had a nurse who was not very attentive. That made our family feel so alone and on our own as our mom lay in her bed passing. That hurt us. But the next morning, Richard was my mom’s nurse, and being the person he is, he made us feel like he was here for us if we needed him. We don’t feel so alone anymore just from this one nurse at this time. Richard is a “great,” “caring” nurse who has a love for his patients and doesn’t mind showing it. He’s a keeper. Thank you.
