In those critical moments, there was no other nurse we would have trusted more with our daughter’s life.
We nominate Nurse Margret for the DAISY Award, in recognition of her unwavering dedication and meticulous attention to detail in the care of our daughter, E. Margret’s exceptional care has been a cornerstone of E’s journey, ensuring her recovery and well-being every step of the way.
From the very beginning, Margret’s presence allowed us to relax, knowing E was in the best possible hands. Her expertise and compassionate nature provided us with a sense of security that is truly invaluable. Margret’s willingness to volunteer and cover the mandatory home nursing hours was a critical factor in E’s successful release from the Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU). Without her selflessness and commitment, E's transition home would not have been possible.
Margret’s dedication shone brightly during our most challenging moments. During E’s first month at home, we faced a traumatic event when she experienced a severe allergic reaction, necessitating a 911 call. In this crisis, Margret’s calm and confident intervention was nothing short of life-saving. She managed the situation with expertise and compassion, accompanying E to the emergency room and ensuring her safety and care throughout the ordeal.
