My mother was admitted to the ICU after enduring months of being in and out of the hospital. Throughout her journey, she encountered many wonderful nurses, and Megan Dobyns distinguished herself in ways that are truly remarkable. From the moment my mom arrived in the ICU, Megan's exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism stood out. At the time, I had just started my classes at Darden, and the combination of my mom's hospitalization and the demands of school created an overwhelming and chaotic period in my life. Despite this, Megan managed to bring an incredible sense of calm and reassurance to both my mom and me. Her ability to empathize and her genuine concern for my mom's well-being provided us with immense comfort during such a stressful time. 

What truly set Megan apart was the way she went above and beyond to understand my mom as a person, not just a patient. She took the time to thoroughly learn about my mom's pre-existing conditions, ensuring that every aspect of her care was personalized and attentive. Megan also made it a point to get to know our family, which allowed her to connect with my mom on a deeply personal level. These small yet meaningful acts helped my mom feel cared for and connected, even when I couldn't be there by her side.
