Tameika Majette is the Virginia Department of Corrections Statewide infirmary manager overseeing all operations involving infirmary care at multiple sites across the state of Virginia. Ms. Majette often steps away from her duties temporarily to assist her co-workers across all three regions ( Western, Central and Eastern region). 

Ms. Majette assisted the new Eastern Regional team for 60 days with becoming acclimated to their new roles, touring the eastern region to include nine facilities, meet and greets with facility health authorities and operational unit heads. Ms. Majette is currently involved with the Electronic Health Records project for the Department of Corrections again taking one for her team by assisting with the development process to ensure that it meets our facilities and patient’s medical needs in the state of Virginia. 

As the Infirmary Nurse Manager, Ms. Majette ensures that our facilities are operational and functioning to the best of their abilities. She works closely with the VADOC clinical coordinators to ensure patient placement is appropriate for the facilities and patients. She is also involved with the development of the sites infirmary manuals to ensure we provide the best care to our patients. Ms. Majette assists with coordinating outside medical care and onsite medical care for our patients across the regions as well. Ms. Majette wears many hats, and she does it with such grace. She is always willing and able to assist anyone in need!
