I don’t even know where to begin with Amera; she is a true gem! We came into the hospital for a kidney transplant, and Amera was our very first nurse when we hit this floor, and she welcomed us with open arms. Amera really has the spirit of love and compassion! Amera was our nurse for 3 out of the 4 nights while we were here for transplant, and she was amazing! She was always very outgoing and positive! You could tell she really loved her job! Every night when Amera came in she made sure we were taken care of, and she took great care of us all the way until the last day before being discharged home.

Fast forward a couple of weeks later, my husband was life-flighted back here for internal bleeding, where he almost died. Amera was on duty that night, and she was the very first person to greet me and hug me tight as I walked through those doors with a heavy heart. We have now been here ten days during this hospital stay, and we didn’t have Amera as our nurse, but every night she was on, she made it a point to come to our room to see if there was anything we needed and just to check on my husband’s progress. The very first four days we were here for the second time were some very scary and dark days, but Amera helped to take away those fears and kept us positive all the way through!

Amera has a heart of gold, and her love and compassion for being a nurse shine through her each and every day! Thank you so much, Amera, for being an outstanding nurse. We felt every bit of your love and compassion and will ALWAYS remember you and the love you showed us each and every day during both of our stays! You are a true gem, and we are so glad to have met you!
