An amazing nurse! Robyn is passionate about caring for patients in their final journey. She handled the concerns of a family who was witnessing a very sudden change in their loved one seamlessly. She educated about what she was seeing in the patient (his fast breathing) what it means (he is uncomfortable and nearing the end of life) and what she can do to put him at ease (medication and how it works). Although she works at night, she ensures all team members are aware of her concerns for a patient and often sends team messages in addition to charting in CPRS to improve communication. She has handled the death of multiple veterans in one night while still showing the highest level of care for the veterans, veteran’s family, and staff.
