I would like to nominate Abigail in the capacity of a Professional Midwife Advocate. Not only does she support the Midwives in the Maternity Department but she also advocates for the Maternity Support Workers.

Abigail has been an immense support for the MSWs, advising and sign posted them to in the directions when all other avenues fail.

Abigail has a wealth of knowledge and, more importantly, an abundance of empathy and compassion.

Abigail shows loyalty to her employers but also shows loyalty to the staff working conditions and supports the mental and wellbeing of staff that may need a different kind of guidance that managers cannot delivery.

Abigail is always available and willing to listen and never sees it as a burden.

I feel that Abigail is very worthy of this award as she has demonstrated time and time again how her role impacts our wellbeing in the most positive way.
