After the goodbye and hugging, we felt we were leaving a very good friend and an exceptional nurse who had done her job well.
When we arrived on the 9th floor, Jordan took charge. We had luggage with us and Jordan took it to keep on the floor until the evening. We apologized for being late. She told us not to worry and made us feel very comfortable about what would happen next. She explained everything in great detail. She then got me prepped for my heart cath and told us how long it should take. When I came back, there was a lot of bleeding on the wrist where they did the heart catheterization. Several people from the team and Jordan worked to stop the bleeding. When things had settled down, she gave me my lunch. My wife had not eaten because she didn’t want to leave. Jordan told her she could give her the same lunch if there were extras. Because of this, my wife did not have to leave which was comforting to both of us.

The rest of the afternoon was spent trying to stop the bleeding. I had one more test that Jordan took me to, and when I arrived back, my wrist had not stopped bleeding. It had been checked several times and they decided to keep me overnight. This created a problem for my wife as she was supposed to stay at the Family House but now she would have to stay at the Fisher House. She has a knee replacement as well as sciatica in her leg and hip and tendonitis in her ankle. It would be hard for her to walk with a cane and 2 pieces of luggage. A hospital police officer would have to walk her down. Seeing she was upset, Jordan called the social worker and a peer to help. When things were worked out, my wife was able to stay at the Family House as the bus was able to take her there. The accommodations were great.

On Thursday, Jordan came in and greeted us with a warm welcome. She was always bright and cheery. I was released on Thursday at about 9 a.m. We felt so comfortable with Jordan that we asked if we could give her a hug. She said she loved hugs! After the goodbye and hugging, we felt we were leaving a very good friend and an exceptional nurse who had done her job well. We were very impressed with our experience.
