Brittney Haukom provided extraordinary, compassionate care during our multiple-day stay with her as our nurse. She continued to provide extraordinary care as our son continued to become more sick. She monitored closely, did not seem alarmed when things became more urgent, quickly made decisions to provide comfort for our son, and continued to advocate for additional resources to be provided. Brittney confidently placed an NG tube and taped it so well our 7-month-old couldn't rip it out. It seems so simple, but it shows how her attention to detail is always at the front of her outstanding knowledge, skill, and care. Brittney created a personalized, special experience as we were in the hospital over the holidays. She continued to ensure our experience met our needs and advocated for additional toys, play mats, and a high chair to allow our son to have as much of a "normal" life as possible. Her kind spirit and willingness to also check on me were so meaningful during such a scary and challenging time. It's clear that she provides outstanding care for all of her patients through the interactions I saw and her mentorship and relationship with her fellow nurses and other staff. I am so grateful for the outstanding care and compassion that Brittney provided for us.
