My husband's nurse, Sarah Walker, was fantastic on his first day in the hospital. They took his temperature, and it was way too low. They immediately started getting his body temp up and checked it every 10 minutes. They explained everything to us and put us and my husband at ease. We knew immediately we had a very capable and caring nurse. The nurse kept checking on my husband. He has liver and lung cancer and was in a lot of pain. They kept checking on his pain level until they got him comfortable for the first time in over a week. This nurse is very professional but also very compassionate. Sarah told us everything they were doing and explained it so we understood. I really wish all nurses were like this nurse. They care about their patients, take good care of them, and make sure my husband has everything he needs. This nurse made us feel like we were family. You can tell they love their job and the patients. We are thankful this nurse was there to care for my husband on a very stressful day. We will always be grateful for the care she gave him.
