They were honestly our biggest support system in the hospital and my dad's biggest cheerleader. They were determined to save my dad’s life and change him for the better!
My dad was first admitted to the ICU floor after he fell at home. He had severe head trauma/head bleed, his heart was in AFIB, and his body was shutting down. We didn’t expect him to make it. I don't think my dad would be here today if it weren’t for the amazing doctors, nurses, and staff. Two nurses really stood out to me, and I cannot thank them enough. They gave my dad the best care and went above and beyond. They were not only concerned for him but also for his family. They were honestly our biggest support system in the hospital and my dad's biggest cheerleader. They were determined to save my dad’s life and change him for the better! They did just that. My dad is coming home because of them. While my dad was in his hospital bed, he looked at me and said that those two nurses (Andrew Bennett and Megan Adamson) were his guardian angels. They were always able to put a smile on his face and gave my dad the determination to fight and get better. Cheered him on as he took his first steps with therapy and ensured he always had what he needed. My dad will be walking out of that hospital today to go home because of his care team. They have forever changed his life as well as mine. They are the true definition of what a nurse should be. You can tell they both love what they do, and they care about their patients and their families. We will forever be grateful for them and all they have done. They are truly his guardian Angels.
