Her energy when she entered the room was exactly what we needed. We were upset and worried for our daughter. She immediately shifted the tone and provided us with comfort.
My wife and I brought our 7-week-old daughter to Anderson's ER for suspected respiratory distress. We previously had taken her to another facility where she was mistreated, which resulted in her entire left arm being severely bruised. Initially, she had a 100.00 temp, and we were concerned as first-time parents. After our scare at the other hospital, we were checked in at Anderson swiftly and were met with Kim as our nurse. Her energy when she entered the room was exactly what we needed. We were upset and worried for our daughter. She immediately shifted the tone and provided us with comfort. She explained the procedures that were to follow and made sure we were informed thoroughly. She was very careful with our already traumatized infant and ensured she was comforting and careful when performing her swabs. She explained some things about her breathing that we may have misread, helped us feel more informed, and never made us feel silly or like we were overreacting. We left the hospital with a completely different outlook and talked the entire way home about how great Kim was and how we would love for her to be our Peds nurse so badly. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
