My husband came to the Telemetry Unit with a Heparin IV and heart monitor, after suffering a heart attack.  He had a sudden and severe change of mental status as evening turned into night, repeatedly attempting to get out of bed and even tore the IV from his arm.  This all occurred over the course of an entire night, and Brie returned to his room promptly every time we called, which was too numerous to count. 

My husband also became extremely agitated and paranoid as the night went on. Brie attempted several techniques and methods to ease my husband’s anxiety.  Several medications were also given; however, they were basically unsuccessful. Brie always tried to listen and respond appropriately to a very stubborn & agitated 95-year-old. She was always compassionate and professional with him.
