This RN team is always there to help and take great care of our plastic surgery patients. They are invaluable part of our department, and all their quality and diligent work is truly appreciated every day!
***
The nursing team does extraordinary work in taking care of the patients and are wonderful partners to work with.
***
This team of nurses is phenomenal. Their care and passion for our patient population are exceptional. They work with every single patient to get the fastest and best care for every concern presented to us. As of July 2024, they have kept 3,956 patients out of our urgent cares, emergency rooms, and outside hospitals by making same-day urgent phone appointments. They fit the patients into their full schedules and use teamwork across all of our clinics to expedite patient care. They do this fluidly and independently. Their nursing instincts are beyond compare. As managers, we consistently get feedback from all of our providers across three departments that they are very happy with the care and advice our team provides their patients. They trust and rely on them as partners in care. They have such a rapport with all of our providers that they understand and advise patients based on the preferences of each surgeon in all three specialties. Their knowledge base and ability to apply their clinical experience make this team invaluable to our providers. They continually present ideas to innovate and improve their workflows, including communication and partnership with other departments, message management, and quality care. Year to date, this team has treated more than 3,956 wounds with advanced wound care techniques. The number of patients lives this team handles is huge and includes every breast cancer patient, every dialysis patient, and all the patients for all three surgical departments. They also participate in education for our patients and our own Kaiser Permanente team. The wound care class by our nursing team has helped our primary care and specialty teams understand, and best use wound care supplies with the goal of helping empower these teams to apply the best and most up to date techniques for their patients, this has become a passion project for them. The praise and recognition from the patients for each and every one of our team merits them recognition as a whole, there is no patient problem they can't resolve together. I am extremely grateful as a fellow RN and their manager to work alongside them. I get to come to work with the A team every single day. Our patients are cared for at a higher standard because of their passion, drive, and attention to detail across San Diego.
