Sally is a wonderful advocate and has taken on the role of ethics liaison in the CVICU. Sally has worked in our unit for nearly 8 years and is a strong charge nurse and very skilled caregiver. She takes the time to listen to newer colleagues and supports them through some of the difficult journey's that our kiddos can face. She took it upon herself to speak with our Ethics team, receive the training needed, shadow another unit's setup, and implement an Ethics Forum monthly in the CVICU. I am in awe of her devotion to doing the right thing for patients and supporting their families while also helping her coworkers carry the burden of being an ICU nurse.
