Jaclyn has been my nurse for years. She is phenomenal. She always has the answers to my questions or is able to get me steered in the right direction. I was in to see my doctor today. Jaclyn is always so polite and makes me feel like we are just out chatting instead of me being in the doctor’s office. She always helps keep me calm while I’m here. I have avoided going to doctors because I’m pretty sure I have cancer, but I don’t want the diagnosis. After my visit with the doctor, I did not stay to do my lab EKG because I didn’t want the answers it was probably going to give me. Later in the day, Jaclyn called me and asked why I had left without getting my lab work completed. Jaclyn explained that if we get the labs and some answers, we can try to treat whatever is found or send me to a specialist. Jaclyn offered to be the one to draw my labs and agreed to call me with the results after they come back. I have not come back to get the labs yet, but I plan to do so next week due to Jaclyn reaching out to me. I really appreciate her going the extra step to reach out to me. It shows that she really cares and that I am not just another number in the system. I hope she is able to read this and know how much she is appreciated!
