We had a patient in the Culpeper CCU, gravely ill with ALS and pneumonia. His son came to visit from California. As the son saw his dad, he expressed the wish to marry his long-term girlfriend and partner. The entire CCU staff and management staff quickly got together to decorate the room, organize the Mayor of Culpeper to officiate and got the kitchen to provide cupcakes. Within a short period of time, we also had sparkling juices, cards, registry books, and even a little gift for the wedding party. The entire Culpeper CCU staff has gone above and beyond to make this day memorable for the entire family.
