Candice, who also goes by "CJ" was kind and compassionate from the beginning. I spent quite a long day in the Emergency Room, I was considered an emergency and given top priority by the department. At the time, my future looked bleak. At one point, as I was being prepared for another brain scan (MRI, I think), I began to cry. Candice made a point to stop what she was doing to comfort me. And honestly, it made such a difference as I was alone. But it didn’t stop there. When I returned, she came and sat with me and told me that if I still needed to cry, she would do that too, but it had to be after her shift ended at 9! There were a few things I needed, so I decided to wait until after 9 because I wanted to make sure I didn’t extend her day any longer. She was still there long after nine. In fact, she didn’t leave until she had the assurance that I was given a room, and she waited until I was wheeled to that room. I mean, that is what family does for one another, at least really good family. I cry as I write this, knowing that there are really astounding people in this world! She is a true DAISY Nurse.
