My mother has diabetes, cancer, stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other mobility issues. She can be very cranky and demanding. She is normally a sweetheart but in the hospital she is NOT herself. Yareli is the most compassionate nurse my mom has ever had. Yareli took care of my mom Saturday, Sunday and monday. I had plans for Sunday and did not want to leave my mother because I have been here at the hospital every single day but once Yareli told me she would be her nurse Sunday, I felt like a weight had been removed from my shoulders knowing that Yareli would take care of my mom.
Yareli did not JUST go above and beyond in her care of my mom but she also took care of me. Yareli sat with me and patiently, diligently and kindly answered all of the questions she could and got me the answers to the ones that needed more clarification. Yareli made me feel SAFE. She made me feel comforted. She made me feel like my questions and feelings were valid. Most of all she treated my mother as I would. Kindness, patience and tolerance.
Never once did Yareli EVER get frustrated with my mother. Yareli comforted my mom, spoke sweetly to her and did everything she possibly could to help my mother. I asked Yareli SO many questions and I feel so bad because I am sure I monopolized a lot of her time but she was so SELFLESS and took time to treat me with respect and care too. Yareli has a RADIANT BEAUTIFUL HEART and is a bright light in the world. We will never forget Yareli and hope her life is filled with blessings as she blessed our lives. Thank you, Yareli!
